Our Story

Hi! I’m Erin Taylor-Jackson, the founder of P.R.D. Varsity Co. and a local Henderson mom with three children involved in sports and arts programs.

The idea for this company started from a very real, frustrating experience. When I went shopping for letterman jackets and patches for my daughter, I quickly realized there was zero clarity on how the process actually worked. As parents, we were expected to do all the research ourselves and just "hope for the best".

Worse than the confusion was the major "sticker shock". I was seeing basic jackets starting at $265+, with custom patches adding another $20+ each—not to mention the extra costs and hassle of finding someone to actually sew them on. I couldn't believe how expensive and complicated it had become simply to celebrate our kids' hard work. It also made me wonder: Why wait until their senior year to get a jacket? By then, they miss out on most of the time they could have spent wearing it. Students should be able to get their jackets early and proudly showcase their accomplishments throughout their entire high school journey.

That experience inspired me to take matters into my own hands, and P.R.D. Varsity Co. was born.

My goal was simple: provide the highest-quality materials—specifically heirloom-quality 24oz Melton wool bodies and genuine cowhide leather sleeves—at a price families can actually afford. By working directly with manufacturers, I cut out the traditional retail markup to bring our community "Premium without the Markup". Our all-inclusive base jacket is $195 and includes front chest and back embroidery as well as your graduation year patch.
